How to follow Mastodon in RSS

Every Mastodon account has a feed on its home server. Add .rss to the profile address, no Mastodon account needed.

Every Mastodon account has a feed, and you don’t need a Mastodon account to read it. Take the profile’s address and add .rss.

Mastodon runs on thousands of servers, and every account has a home server. The handle says where. The feed above is @[email protected] with the server moved to the front. Addresses with two @s, like fosstodon.org/@[email protected], are another server’s view, and no feed lives there. The second @ points home.

Hashtags have feeds too.

A tag feed follows the tag as that server sees it.

Profiles and hashtags have feeds. Your home timeline doesn’t, and followers-only posts stay private.

To follow an account, paste its address into Discover and Glanced finds the feed. The feed address works in any other reader too.
