How to follow newsletters in RSS
Every newsletter can arrive in your reader. Subscribe with an address instead of your email, and an email-to-feed service generates the feed.
Most newsletters never publish a feed, because they live in email. The way into a reader is an address that turns mail into a feed, and the rare newsletter with a real feed works the usual way.
With a converter
Free tools give you an email address and publish whatever arrives as a feed. Kill the Newsletter! is the long-running one. Give the newsletter the generated address and its issues arrive as feed items, in any reader.
In Glanced
Glanced has the converter built in, and gives every newsletter its own address.
- Open Organization in the sidebar and go to Newsletters
- Click New newsletter, give it a title, and click Create newsletter
- Glanced generates the address and copies it. Paste it into the newsletter’s signup form
Each issue arrives as an article. Confirmation emails arrive the same way, and their links confirm the subscription. A newsletter that insists on a reply can’t be confirmed, since Glanced never sends mail from the address.
From there it behaves like any subscription, with folders, search, and unread counts.
