How to get notified when a site publishes
Get a ping when a site posts. A feed plus a notifier service does it for any site, and Glanced can make the call itself.
You don’t need to keep checking a site to catch its next post. Its feed already knows, and a watcher can bring the post to you.
With a bridge
Automation services like Zapier, IFTTT, Make, and n8n watch a feed address and notify you when something arrives, by push, email, or message wherever you want it. Give the service the feed address and pick a notification. The bridge runs on its own schedule, so pings arrive when it checks, not when the site posts.
In Glanced
If the site already lives in Glanced, the watching is done, and a webhook pushes each new post straight out. Open Automation in the sidebar, go to Webhooks, and click Create webhook.
- Paste an endpoint URL. Zapier and n8n catch-URLs work, and so does anything that accepts HTTPS POSTs
- Pick your events. New article is the one that pings when a site posts
- Copy the signing secret when it appears. Glanced shows it once
A webhook hears every feed you follow, not just one. Every delivery is signed and logged with its response code, and a test send proves the wiring.
To stay updated, you’ll need to follow the site first.
